A quick rant

London, boy I love heading to this amazing city with my camera and it's rare I'll have a bad day. No matter what the weather is like I'll always come back with some good photos.

But this past Thursday (14th June) I ended up having the worst day of street photography ever, nothing and I mean nothing went right.

The sun came out and it was a beautiful day, however, every single time I would lift my camera to take a photo the sun would take cover behind a cloud, the thing was the clouds would almost come out of nowhere, I would find the perfect spot with great light so I would get my camera ready and start to wait but the damn light would disappear.

I would stand around waiting for the light to return, but after waiting 30 or so minutes I would just give up, however, the second I would start to walk away the sun would come out, I would then head back to the same spot get the camera ready and you've guessed it the bloody light would disappear again. This was driving me fucking nuts, I was getting so wound up. It was like the sun was connected to the camera, I lift the camera up the sun would go down, I put the camera down the sun would come up, I mean what the hell.

Nothing was happening, now this pisses me off for a few reasons, the first is it costs me about £25 for my travel and I feel like I've wasted the money. Then it takes me over 2 hours to get from my hometown to London so that’s my time wasted.

Then there’s my health, it can take me days to recover from a trip to the city.

I wrote this blog while sitting in a Starbucks on the Thursday after putting the camera away and giving up, I just needed to get this off my chest.

I’m I the only one that has days like this?

I always say if you come back with one good photo you've had a good day, well here are the only photos I took and they are awful, guess I really didn’t have a good day.
