Events and Eurovision

I'm a photographer that doesn’t like to shoot parades and events as I find them too be boring and in some cases I find myself becoming frustrated with the amount of people. Events always have lots of other photographers shooting and I just feel that I won’t get anything different or unique.

That being said, I will always shoot around the event, people in the crowd are way more fun to photograph as more than often you'll find wonderful moments that can include great facial expressions, children covering their ears, the laughing, crying, happiness and yes even anger.

At the time of writing this blog Liverpool is hosting the Eurovision Song contest and the city has become busy with visitors from all over the world and this is giving me so many opportunities to shoot. I’ve been going along to many of the live music events the city has had on offer and of course I always take my camera, yet I haven’t be shooting that much. The more I meditate the more at peace I become with not only myself but with my photography and I know that I don’t have to take photos at every event. I’ve become more selective, sometimes only taking one or two photos, I feel like I’m hunting when I visit these events.

I wanted to share my photos that I captured during the week of Eurovision.
