As the title of the blog says, it's been 4 weeks since I last went out shooting.
I've been ill for the past 2 years and I've been really bad in the last 2 months, so I thought it was best to rest. However, this past Saturday my friend Chris asked if I wanted to go to London and have a look around the new Wex photography showroom and after visiting the showroom we would head out and do some Street Photography, well I couldn't say no, that would be rude. We arrived in London about 11am and decided to walk from Kings Cross to Whitechapel, this would give us the opportunity to take some street photos, however after hour and half of walking which I enjoyed (I love walking around the back streets of London), I didn't take any photos, I just didn’t feel comfortable, I guess 4 weeks of not doing any street photography had been too long.
Anyway, we arrived at Wex and wow what a great store and awesome staff, both I and Chris got to play with the Fujifilm GFX which is an amazing camera, not practical for street photography but I would love to give it a try. After leaving Wex, we decided to head towards the London bridge, again I only took one photo this was until we arrived at the borough market.
This market is a life saver for me, within minutes of arriving I was back in the zone, it felt like I was only there the day before, I just couldn’t stop taking photos.
I have no idea why Borough market has this effect on me, it doesn’t matter if I’m having a bad day I can enter borough market and within minutes everything changes I just connect with the place. Many of us have a place that brings a smile to our faces and Borough market is mine. The place is wonderful for street photography, plus its one of the only places where it being busy doesn't bother me.
Anyway, I thought I would post a few photos from our visit to London.
Enjoy.
