As I said in my previous blog about Cambridge market the meeting point for most people is the 15th-century water fountain that sits in the middle of the market and in this blog I wanted to showcase photos that I’ve captured of people sitting around the fountain. The fountain was a lot more ornate when it was built and unfortunately, only the bottom part remains today. The fountain hasn’t worked since the 1960s and is mostly used today as a planter and a seating area for the visitors of the market to catch up with friends and to enjoy lunch.
You’ll also find local artists sitting nearby painting, writing, and photographing the area, it’s easy to see why as I’ve always found the area inspiring.
