I’ve just finished shooting my first month in monochrome and I wanted to share the first few photos taken on this year-long journey shooting only monochrome.
So what’s it been like looking at the world in monochrome, the quick answer would be peaceful. The world seems quieter and less distracting to me, I've been more relaxed and focused without having to think about the colour or even the editing process, I've been excited about looking at the photos and that’s something that’s been missing, I don’t have anxiety about editing the photos.
I can't believe how this has helped not only my photography but also my focus, it’s been like visiting an old friend and I can’t wait to spend the next 11 months shooting with and getting reacquainted with this old friend.
Enjoy the photos and don’t forget to check back for more updates.
