The first thing I need to do in this blog is Thank Andreas from Fujifilm UK.
Thank you so very much for the use of the Fujifilm X-Pro 2 with XF23mm F2 lens, I should also say that I got sent the Graphite Silver edition. Now, I have to say I love the look of this camera and I really don’t want to send it back, but I have to. I do wish that Fuji would release the X-T2 in the same finish, I would buy it in a second.
I took the camera to the streets of Cambridge today and I found the camera sits in my hands better than my X-T2. I also noticed that people didn’t really seem to notice me taking photos, which I found to be a nice change. I love the way the camera is laid out, very much like a Leica M Rangefinder. The placement of the viewfinder is on the left-hand side of the camera, this is perfect for watching out for people walking into your frame.
The camera is nice light and easy to use.
Most of my visitors to this blog know, I shoot with the 56mm F1.2 lens which I love so very much. However today I decided to use the 23mm F2 (which of course is a 35mm), this is very different focal lengthen from the 56mm and it took some getting used to, but if I’m, to be honest with myself, I never did get used to the focal length. It was nice being able to get more into the frame, but as I said I just couldn’t get on with it. I am now looking forward to heading out over the coming week with the X-Pro 2 and my beloved 56mm lens, I will post those photos on a follow-up blog. In the mean time, I’ve posted some photos of my day in Cambridge
Enjoy
