How times have changed, now everyone seems to be plugged into the Matrix. The film never really did anything for me, but I will say it was ahead of its time in showing where we were going as species.
When I’m out on the streets it’s hard not to take a photo of someone on a digital device.
I would normally try to avoid taking photos of people using a mobile phone, but now I find myself looking and thinking maybe I should be recording people plugged into the digital world. I see people sitting in restaurants and instead of talking to one another, they have their heads down updating social media or they are taking photos of food.
Why are we doing this? When did we become so dependent on our digital devices?
Yes, I have a mobile phone and iPad but when I’m out taking photos I won’t use them. I have my phone in case of emergency, or so that I can meet up with friends. The only time I use my iPad is when I’m traveling on my own. I'm not dependent on my digital devices, they are only tools.
