My time living in the south of the country is over and a fresh start begins in the north. We’ve had a week living in Liverpool and it’s amazing, the people are so happy and welcoming and the building where we live is unbelievable it’s like living in a 5-star hotel in New York.
The first thing both my wife and I noticed is how happy we both look, I don’t think we’ve stopped smiling yet and I’m sure we never will.
Elizabeth has never been so relaxed and at peace and you have no idea how happy this makes me feel, I’ve always wanted to see Elizabeth like this she has made loads of friends that live in our building and she’s already going to evening meet-ups with other residents I’ve never seen her so happy and engaged. Liverpool is going to be a great place for both of us.
As for me, well I’m in my element city life is where I belong, the opportunities i have for street photography is unlimited and endless. I’ve been out with the camera almost everyday since we settled and I have to say that I’ve never had so many opportunities for my street work. There is a downside and thats I’m trying to do to much all at once, I’m walking 10 miles a day on average spending at least 8 hours on the streets of this fine city. I need to slow down and start focusing on just one or two areas at a time, I need to remind myself that I’m not visiting I live here and I have all the time in the world to explore the city and the surrounding areas.
Below are a few of the photos that I captured in my first week, I hope you enjoy them.
